Thermal Equilibrium
A downloadable book
Thermal Equilibrium is a book about the inherent destructiveness of close friendships, told without physical descriptors or gendered terms, and meant for the purpose of projection.
When Q, a socially awkward perfectionist, asks Z, the class valedictorian and resident klutz, to study with them, they expect nothing but an increase in their GPA. Unbeknownst to the both of them however, the gods of their universe have taken an interest in them... and are about to turn their lives into a living nightmare. The shared chaos of trying to survive daily life and trying to get through high school with supernatural happenings nipping at their heels forces Q and Z to depend on one another... and to become incredibly close in the process. But the biggest threat to their livelihoods might isn't the gods. It might just be themselves.
After all, in this universe, the term "soulmate" isn't just a descriptor for a relationship.
It is also a warning label.

Authors note: Hi! I'm Moth I.D, the author of this book. This book was originally released on Amazon, but using the site and having to charge tons of money for a story I just wanted to get out there felt wrong to me. So I'm putting it here. You're welcome to try and find a physical copy through Amazon, but the point of this is mainly just to tell a story. Q and Z are incredibly dear to me, and I'm still obsessed with them months after originally publishing this story. So have fun! Here's some general stuff you should know:
CONTENT WARNINGS:

The book is about 120k words long.
Enjoy!
Sincerely,
Moth I.D
